In order to be able to perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, it is of utmost importance to have well equipped Biochemical and Microbiological laboratories, where all kinds of analyses can be done. The Blood Transfusion Department plays an important part not only in this Centre, but is also well known throughout Serbia for its contribution to blood donations, blood testing and donors’ blood processing. In addition, this department is also prominent for its clinical transfusion, from rational use of blood components to intra-operational blood saving.
