HC Valjevo today is a modern healthcare institution, boasting its spatial capacities, its state-of-the-art equipment, modern diagnostic, therapeutical and surgical methods applied, and positive aspirations in education and management. It provides healthcare services to approximately 200,000 citizens of the Kolubara district, with the average age of 42.25 years, 14.3% of whom are older than 65. Healthcare Centre comprises Regional General Hospital and four Primary Healthcare Centres in Valjevo, Ljig, Mionica and Osecina, including their respective village outpatient units.
HC Valjevo currently employs 1,822 people. Out of this number, 1,310 health professionals work in the General Hospital, 437 in primary health care units and 75 in the Department of Stomatology. There are 354 medical doctors, 996 nurses and medical technicians, 23 medical consultants and 449 other, non-medical professionals. The General Hospital alone currently employs 201 doctors and 725 medical technicians.
